  • Plants

Plants have many things to teach us all. Every acre of jungle, woods, rain forest, that we destroy is like burning down an entire library of books that nobody has ever read or like burning down the best college and killing the teachers.

    Little things you can do.
use compost rather than fertilizer on your yard. The runoff tends to find it's way to the larger waterways: Lakes, rivers, streams, ponds, and the ocean.

Use biodegradable nontoxic soaps and cleaning products. Some products work better than others so you may have to try a few before you know which ones work best for you. 7th generation's laundry soap doesn't seem to do the job. I use.... bioclean? I can't remember the exact brand but it's something like that. It works great.

catch all that water that falls free from the sky and start using that more. Water treatment plants put all sorts of harmful chemicals in the water you drink. This isn't good for you or your plants either, or your lawns, etc.
One day when you have free time do a quick search on what's being said about whats in your water. You may be shocked at what you find.
rainwater harvesting keeps more water on your property instead of letting it run off unused into your street and down to some drain. There are many ways to harvest rainwater. Imagine the change in your water bill. Water from the city has to be treated (using "dirty" power, harmful chemicals, and so on) I could go into this deeper but I have to go soon.

Vote to legalize hemp every chance you get. Put pressure on politicians to do so.
Hemp is illegal because of the oil and paper companies not because people smoke it sometimes. Canada has legalized hemp and it's about time the US did also.

Buy from companies that have a good record with the environment. Avoid using products from companies that do more harm than good.

Put pressure on the government to stop these planned wars they keep on sucking us into. These are horrible for us and our environment. War mostly isn't about protecting your freedom anymore, it's about destroying it and giving more power to rich psychopaths.  I'm sure there are exceptions but they are few.

Planting a tree in place of one you cut down is a good thing... but what about all that underbrush that gets killed off and cleared away? Selective harvesting is one of the only environmentally friendly means of harvesting I've seen.

No I don't want a carbon tax. Thats just about taking away more freedom.

  • Back again

Thought this was an interesting watch. I haven't validated the information in it yet but it sounds logical enough. Of course sounding logical doesn't validate historical facts. So what I'm saying is, look up what you have questions on ;)
    http://www.watch-movies-links.net/movies/campfema_american_lockdown/

Collecting drink bottles currently to wash and fill with health drinks that I make. My first project is to make a great tasting health drink that lowers high blood pressure. I'm still not 100 percent sure how I'm going to go about it but here is what I have so far.

Step one, make a tea out of stevia.
Step two, Take the stevia (sweet water) and make a tea with hibiscus sabdariffa (by the way I would like to get this plant so if anyone has it and has some seeds or is willing to trade please message me. I believe this plant clones ok. )
I may also juice or make a strong tea from penny wart (my icon pic) and ad that in.
Step 3: Possibly ad a little vanilla or something like that

I'm pretty sure that drink would end up tasting a bit like fruit punch but would be great for lowering a persons high blood pressure. The Stevia is one of the best sweeteners I know of. I grow it. It's got 0 caleries and can reduce your cravings for sugar over time according to some studies.

If it works well I may start bartering with the drinks for herbs (particularly mint), spices, and perhaps even fish or goods and services.

I am doing what I can to push the idea of bartering. If we all barder with each other, If we become the producers and the suppliers, then we will take money out of corporate pockets and put it back in the hands of the people.
If you trade for your basic needs, particularly food needs then it could potentially even shut down companies like Monsanto. So my goal is to get 10 people bartering with each other in this town. Thats my current goal. I hope to expand on that. If you produce good quality products, yogurt, cheese, wine, drinks, beer, sauces, dipping oils(for breads), condaments, or whatever else I recommend that you start to barter with it.
Lets change our dependance on corporations. ;)
